Tactique Pro (Tactique's complimentary module)

The TactiquePro module is an advanced tool which completes the functions of Tactique software. Designed for high level racing and match-racing, it provides the best functions to manage races. TactiquePro was developed in synergy with the Areva-Challenge's sailing team for the America Cup 2007, and meets the expectations of the most particular navigators ans tacticians via a friendly interface and innovating calculation algorithms.

During Pre-start

TactiquePro module integrates the values of inertia and rotation of the boat to calculate and display all the hypthesis to cross the line: directly, with a tack, with a jib, thru one of the lay lines, thru any point in the departure area, to go to the committee boat or to the buoy.
The departure area is diplayed in its real size (line/boat/lay lines in step of one boat's length) and some additional information are available as the wind for a neutral line and also all the available hypothesis to cross the line.
New means are available to move a mark in relation to the wxind or to other marks

Post departure : During the race

The TactiquePro module gives access to additional information as:
- The mean wind (duration can be set), minimum wind, maximum wind.
- The lay lines are logged up and are displayed in a coloured cone.
- The race area is squared by sted of one boat's length when approching a mark.
- An automatic zoom on the boat, the competitor and the next mark.
- The management of the leeward gate with the choice at any moment of the buoy to pass.
- Differentiation between the performances and the running polars (time to the marks, lay lines...)
- Modification of the running polars: in angles and in percentage or graphically with the OptimaPro module.
- Management of the number of rounds to run and the number of the actual run.
- Management of the finish line with the calculation of the best side.
