The GEONAV RO 4700 offers the DSC (Digital Selective Calling) standard function: the pressure of the DISTRESS key immediately broadcasts the distress call, providing your boat's ID, the position and nature of danger. The backlit display shows the acknowledge signals coming from the nearest vessels and from land. Besides ATIS channels, the GEONAV RO 4700 supports 55 INT channels that allow communicating confidentially and transmitting selective calls to one or more boats: you just have to know the MMSI number of the boats to contact and to send a message specifying the transmission channel you want. Only the selected boat will answer your call.
