The USB-RS232 converter in it's reinforced plastic case has been designed for the industrial environment. It adds a virtual RS232 / DB9 serial port through the USB connection. The USB-RS232 converter contains a 128 byte internal transmission buffer and a 384 byte receptor. It can transfer up to 921Kbps. No external power supply, power supplied by the USB bus. Includes a 25cm long USB cable. The RS232 port is like a standard COM port and installs over existing COM or COM4 depending on the operating system.
Drivers included for Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP / 2003. Can also work with Apple OS-8, OS-9 and OS-X, Linux (Kernel 2.4 at least).
